Quality Yearling Videos and Video Still Photos
Donut Digital is the industry leader in Standardbred video production and will provide vendors with high quality videos for the inaugural Nutrien Equine Standardbred Yearling Sale in April 2021 in Melbourne. Most of you have dealt with Rob Gild and his team previously and will understand the level of care and attention that goes into making your yearlings look appealing to prospective purchasers. (Note: Having the right equipment and expertise enables prospective buyers to more clearly and easily make decisions regarding your Yearlings.)
The yearling footage will be incorporated into Nutrien’s Online Yearling Guide and shown on the large screens during the sale in Melbourne to further enhance the Yearlings appeal for vendors.

Walking Package
HD Video + Still Frame Photo Image- Donut Digital will provide vendors with a professionally video recorded and edited High Definition video of their yearling(s) including a HD still frame photo image of their yearling/s which will be included in Nutrien Equine Standardbred’s Online guide.
- The still frame is included but is never intended to replace the role of a quality photographer, who will always be capable of producing a superior image. However, the still frame image provides a good option for those vendors that do not intend to engage a professional photographer, or who do not have the equipment or expertise to take a quality photograph themselves. You will be asked if you will be providing you own photographs.
- Donut Digital will offer this package to vendors in 2021 at a cost of $165 (including GST) per yearling. This cost will be levied by Nutrien Equine Standardbred on behalf of Donut Digital and will be included in the final settlement charges that are invoiced by Nutrien Equine Standardbred post sale.
- Summary of Walking Package
- ✓ Stud Logos will appear on the clip introduction
- ✓ The videos will be around 40 seconds in duration
- ✓ Each video will show both wide and tight walking shots, a standing shot and had shot as well as front and back walking if required by the preparer
- ✓ A quality Royalty free soundtrack will be on each video
- ✓The videos will be automatically included in the Nutrien Equine Standardbred video channel and can be viewed through the online guide
- ✓Vendors will be advised when they can download clips to use on their own website or email marketing.
Running Package
HD Running Action Video Footage- Donut Digital will also offer vendors a “running package” which will seek to capture action footage of the yearlings running free in a paddock or arena in a 60 second clip including slow motion. Walking footage is not included in this option.
- This package takes slightly longer to film and involves increased editing time, meaning that the package will attract a cost of $253 (including GST) per yearling. This package offers potential buyers the opportunity to see your yearlings in flight – an opportunity that is not afforded to them when inspecting yearlings at the sales.
- Please note, however, that to take advantage of this “running package” you will need to have a fenced flat area of a suitable size to run the yearlings, and will need to have personnel on hand that know how to guide and direct the horse so that Donut Digital can capture suitable vision.
- Summary of Running Package
- ✓Preparers Stud Logos will appear on the clip introduction.
- ✓The videos will be around 60 seconds in duration.
- ✓Each video will show both wide and tight running shots and include slow motion footage as well as front and back running footage if required by the preparer and a standing shot, if required, for a still frame photo
- ✓A quality Royalty free soundtrack will be on each video
- ✓The videos will be automatically included in the Nutrien Equine Standardbred video channel and can be viewed through the online guide
- ✓Vendors will be advised when they can download clips to use on their own website or email marketing.
Video Recording Dates
Recording dates for the 2021 sale will be scheduled in New South Wales and Victoria from Wednesday March 10 to Tuesday March 23.
Filming is carried out on a very strict schedule, and needs to arranged in a way that optimises travel times for the videographers, so we ask vendors & preparers to do their best to assist our videographers by having sufficient workers on hand on filming day to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
